Personnel
Cheryl Harrelson, PH
Principal and Managing Hydrologist

After graduating from the Watershed Science program at Colorado State University, Cheryl Harrelson worked with the U.S. Forest Service.  During her time at the Bridger-Teton National Forest, Cheryl began in-depth study of natural channel dynamics with Luna Leopold.  Dr. Leopold, the former Chief Hydrologist for the US Geologic Survey, remains a pioneer in the field of hydrology.  His emphasis on data collection led Cheryl to write the paper, "Stream Channel Reference Sites: An Illustrated Guide to Field Technique."  Cheryl attended the original “Rivers and Operational Hydrology” course taught by Dr. Leopold together with David Rosgen, and she later completed all levels of Dr. Rosgen’s river courses.  In 1993, Cheryl returned to her native Wyoming as a private consultant where she founded and operates Steady Stream Hydrology, Inc.

Bob Delk, PH

Bob Delk began his career in forestry where he soon developed a special interest in river systems.  After obtaining his MS in Watershed Management from the University of Arizona, Bob worked as a hydrologist for various federal agencies.  He has been involved in Natural Channel Design techniques since their inception and was one of the first hydrologists to complete all four levels of David Rosgen’s river short courses.  For the last ten years he has consulted privately on stream restoration projects around the country, including his home state of Montana.

Mr. Delk provides his services as an independent contractor through Dover Restoration Services.
